Modern trends in teaching foreign languages: using the MOODLE distance system in English lessons

Current changes in the modern world cover all spheres of public life, including the education system. This increases the requirements for students' knowledge, as well as for knowledge of foreign languages. At the same time, the main task of foreign language teachers is to constantly expand the vocabulary of students, develop communication skills and increase motivation. The Moodle platform offers teachers and students real opportunities for collaboration. Working with Moodle helps to significantly increase the time and intensity of communication in the learning environment. The intellectual variety of forms of activity allows the user of the system to always find something to do: go to the forum, study and evaluate the task completed by another user, open the project page and leave a comment. The Moodle virtual learning environment offers great opportunities for collaboration and integration of various activities aimed at improving the process of learning a foreign language, in particular, the development of individual language skills and general language skills. Other advantages of the program are a user-friendly interface and the ability to automatically control student learning. The model of the organization of distance learning using information and communication technologies, as well as various Internet platforms that can be used to create an electronic learning environment and ensure the effectiveness of the distance learning process for students in quarantine or home learning.
