Abstract

In the system of specialized education, elective courses are a tool that  allows building  an  individual  educational  trajectory  that  contributes  to  the  conscious  choice  of  the future  academic  course  by  students  of  the  main  school  at  the  senior  school  level.  The  basic principles  of  the  formation  of  elective  courses  are  outlined:  compliance  with  the  system  of disciplines  taught;  scientific  character;  expansion  of  the  boundaries  of  the  courses  currently being  implemented,  their  deepening.  The  use  of  elective  chemistry  courses  increases  the motivation  and  interest  of  the  student,  as  well  as  helps  to  understand  and  measure  life phenomena.  In  the  system  of  vocational  education,  an  elective  course  can  become  the  main means of building an individual  educational trajectory that contributes to the conscious choice of future knowledge on the way from middle school students to high school level. In the course of the  study,  the  forecast  is  fully  justified,  the  questions  raised  are  solved  and  conclusions  ar e drawn. Performs a crucial function in the creative development of the teacher. Elective courses contribute  to  obtaining  information  about  modern  learning  conditions  and  the  theoretical foundations  of  preparing  students  for  choosing  a  profile,  orientation .  A  special  place  in  the formation of students' logical thinking, mastery of chemical language, development of chemical memory, methods of chemical modeling is given to the elective course.
