This article describes the methodology for organizing project activities of students in teaching a high school Mathematics course. Currently, the teacher’s goal is not only formation of systemic knowledge among students, but also the use of acquired knowledge and skills in practice, creating conditions for the comprehensive development of personality. Students’ project work is a psychological-pedagogical, educational-methodical and organizationally competent scientific approach. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the revealed contradictions in the school system. These contradictions are: the formation of students’ skills during the project activities and the sufficient amount methodological and pedagogical publication. Last ten years, the project method as a general pedagogical technology has been studied by several scientists. Research methods: analysis of proper literature; theoretical methods; mathematical methods. Results and forecast of the study: if the effectiveness of project method in teaching mathematics is justified and the use of the method scientific-methodological developed, then there will be great opportunity to improve the quality of student’s knowledge, which is the basis for arousing students' interest in the subject.
