Abstract

The article reviews the methodology of integrating digital technologies and the case study method in teaching the chemistry course. Digital learning technology enables students to actively participate, focus during classes, and make classes more engaging and productive. The integration of case studies and digital learning was seen as an effective way to develop 21st-century 4C skills (critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity). In a pedagogical experiment, students of the 1st year of the 6B01522-Chemistry program at Akhmet Yassawi University were selected. The survey method was used as an empirical research method. A lesson on the module «Chemical bonding and the structure of molecules» was organized. Case studies within the framework of the topic were proposed and evaluated according to criteria and descriptors based on Bloom's taxonomy. The research results showed that the majority of students consider interactive and visual materials to be effective, resulting in a deeper understanding of knowledge through case-based assignments.

The methods presented in the article describe the combination of digitalization and personality-oriented learning in the modern educational process. This is assessed as an effective step towards developing the professional competencies of future teaching staff, mastering innovative methods, and improving the quality of knowledge in the discipline.
