Abstract

Teaching English at an early age is a topical issue with different perspectives and different goals. The object of this study is an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of English language teaching strategies for pre-school children. In recent years, the teaching of English, along with other disciplines such as Educational Psychology, has become increasingly important in the field of educational research and applied linguistics, and in particular in the field of emotional intelligence. Strategies are combined with actions that reflect their nature as an important tool to promote learning. For the purposes of this article, the strategy differs in that it incorporates meaningful language (from everyday life) into the context of using it in short sentences that have a clear meaning. Other features that distinguish this strategy are the use of certain materials and their verbal fluency in a certain space (supermarket, park, restaurant) in a foreign language and it is always carried out in collaboration with others. The article shows the relationship between strategies and the methods of language teaching discussed. These new approaches to language learning have given the subject an interdisciplinary character. All this is discussed in detail in this paper.
