This paper examines the fundamentals of applying artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in teaching algebra within the system of vocational education. One of the main challenges in teaching algebra lies in students’ difficulty in comprehending the subject and their low motivation to learn. The study focuses on the potential of AI in education, emphasizing its role in fostering critical thinking, improving academic performance, and adapting educational content. AI-powered educational platforms and applications can simplify the learning process and provide learners with personalized support. Therefore, the use of AI tools in teaching algebra at colleges is both scientifically and practically relevant. The research explores the use of AI tools for differentiated instruction, monitoring students’ understanding of learning materials, facilitating comprehension, and designing problem-oriented tasks. This process not only enhances students’ analytical thinking skills but also contributes to the development of professional competencies essential for their future careers. AI algorithms can analyze students’ learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses to offer customized materials and tasks, thereby enabling more effective knowledge acquisition and digital skill development. During the pedagogical experiment, the effectiveness of AI tools was assessed, and their role in developing professional skills was identified. The article provides a comprehensive discussion of the increased accessibility of educational materials and improved learning efficiency achieved through AI integration, while also addressing the challenges and ethical aspects of implementing AI in education as a promising direction for future development.
