Abstract. The development of practical skills among students, especially in the field of natural sciences such as chemistry, is an essential component of modern education. However, schools and colleges often face limitations in terms of funding and access to specialized chemicals and equipment. This article discusses the strategic design and conduct of laboratory experiments using readily available and inexpensive reagents. This topic is currently very relevant, as there is a huge shortage of reagents in modern schools and colleges, which makes laboratory experiments impossible, which affects student academic performance and reduces students' motivation to study the subject of chemistry. The goal is to ensure effective development of students' skills while maintaining safety, educational value and scientific precision. The content of the school chemistry course was analyzed and, based on the content, examples of experiments possible to conduct in high school were compiled. In the course of the work, laboratory experiments were conducted using available reagents at school, the work of students was analyzed and a schedule of students' academic performance and motivation level was drawn up after the introduction of this method of laboratory work. We traced the change before and after the introduction of the methodology by analyzing the work and interviewing students.
